Until recently, I thought I had no direct connection to the ANZAC’s. However, uncovering a 1st cousin, twice removed led me to investigate his story further. Using his war service records and expanding research to include more general military history allowed me to create this video. It was an emotional journey as well as an honour and a privilege to tell his story.
Lest we forget.
Wow, this was an absolutely amazing preservation and tribute to your ancestor! I was first intrigued by the term ANZAC, as I didn’t know what it meant, but as I watched the story of your ancestor’s life unfold in this fantastically crafted video, it kept me intrigued! Absolutely wonderful!
Thanks Diane. I did consider explaining ANZAC and then didn’t but pleased it still kept you intrigued.
Such a moving tribute to a lost family member, and even more impactful in video format. Well done.
Thanks Molly for watching and providing feedback. It was indeed an emotional journey to put it together.
The All About That Place event led me to your wonderful website. This video is an excellent and moving tribute to your ancestor and very inspirational in how to share a family history story in an engaging way. Thank you
Oh thanks so much for watching. It certainly is one of my favourite videos I have created. And I need to do an updated version as his medals recently were reunited with the family.
