Funny Money is a farce by Ray Cooney.  I was in a production performed at Hunters Hill Theatre and it was great fun.  I still laugh thinking about some of the lines and situations.  I played Henry Perkins who is described as an insignificant middle-aged middle-class accountant.  Henry’s briefcase is accidentally switched with a hit-man and it contains £735,000.  With the clear intention of escaping to Spain forever, Henry’s plan is continually foiled with crooked cops, a taxi driver, Mr Brefcurse and good friends Vic and Betty.  Jean (Henry’s wife) gets progressively drunk throughout the show leading to a climax.  Do they end up with the money?
